We welcome children aged three through five years. Our classroom is multi-age, enabling the older children to become role-models to the younger children. Together they learn patience, kindness and respect for each other.
Montessori has four basic components: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language and Mathematics. In addition to this there are cultural extensions consisting of geography, history, botony, the arts, music and movement. Creative play is also provided for and encouraged. Children will have time each day to play in our play-room stocked with traditional toys.
We provide a healthy snack consisting of fruit, vegetables and protein every day. We partner with Spiral Tree Yoga who provide weekly, wonderful yoga classes which are free to children enrolled in our preschool.
During good weather, daily outside play is an important component of our program with gardening and large muscle play. We have a big, shady yard with plenty of room to run and play.
Our extended day option is available for children who are ready for more socialisation and activity.
Children entering the program must be fully potty-trained and able to communicate their basic needs.
We are open fours days a week, Tuesday-Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Families may choose from three or four day schedules. Children who will be turning five are encouraged to enroll in a four day program.
Afternoon Care (Tues-Wed-Th-Fri), 12:00pm to 3:00 pm.
We have limited openings for our fall school year. Please call for more information and to schedule a visit.
Our summer continental art program runs July 8 through August 21
